We think our stories are not special. We think people might look at us differently at workplaces. We think we might face parenting penalty. And most of all, we think that our stories don’t matter. But they do.
Even the simplest stories can hold the power to inspire someone!
Introducing Parent-On-Deck. A fortnightly no-holds barred conversation with working parents who juggle PowerPoint and parenting. The intent is to break stereotypes and workplace biases around working parents. Let them inspire you with real stories of struggles, learnings and advice on how to balance it all.
In a few short weeks, I have been overwhelmed to have 10,000+ people engage with these stories.
A big thanks to all the people who reached out to me (as well as the ones who are featured) to share how they felt inspired by the stories. Many of you also connected me with more amazing working parents to feature. And I can’t wait to bring you their stories soon. If you too would want to nominate someone, buzz me on LinkedIn.
